Area Description: A small town with much of it's heritage preserved, Dunnellon is probably most famous for it's beautiful artesian spring, Rainbow Springs. The second largest artesian spring in the state, this natural wonder feeds almost 500 million gallons of water into Rainbow River every day. The river, which is crystal clear, is a favorite for tubing, canoeing, swimming, diving and snorkeling. Swim with fish, turtles and river inhabitants.
